Have you ever heard of a publication called The Horn Book? It's a journal of children's literature founded in 1924 and still published regularly today. Since Laura Ingalls Wilder's "Little House" books were originally published from 1932 to 1943, they were in the perfect spot to be reviewed by The Horn Book.
William Anderson, a noted Laura Ingalls Wilder scholar compiled the articles written about Wilder in a booklet which he called The Horn Book's Laura Ingalls Wilder. It's one of a series of Anderson's rather obscure, but quite fascinating, booklets about the world of "Little House."I've written about some of William Anderson's other writings in these posts:
Laura Ingalls Wilder: A Biography
A Little House Reader
Looking back through my previous posts, I'm surprised I haven't written about those other booklets. I own a few of them, but I guess I haven't gotten around to posting about them. I'll get to them one of these days. Until then, happy reading!
Elizabeth
