Freddie Ingalls

Today I have a somewhat sad piece of "Little House" history to share with you. 

Today in 1875, Charles Frederic "Freddie" Ingalls was born, the fourth child of Charles and Caroline Ingalls (Pa and Ma). Sadly, he died the following August, not even one year old.

The Ingalls family did not talk much about Freddie and his short life. This article from Laura Ingalls Wilder, Frontier Girl gives a bit more background information that helps shed historical light on the tragedy.
