Custard pie

Eight days until Thanksgiving! 

If you've been following LHCO the past few days, you know that I'm in the middle of a holiday recipe bonanza. Today's installment is an old-fashioned but delicious dessert, custard pie. This would make a fantastic finish to your Thanksgiving day meal.

The Wikipedia article on custard pie gives some interesting historical information about custard pies in general. I'm searching for the Little House holiday story in which custard pie is mentioned on the menu, but I can't seem to find it right now. Maybe next time.
