Laura's family tree

I found a link to a brief overview of Laura Ingalls Wilder's family tree! (As always, I don't endorse all the content on this site. Consider this your disclaimer! haha) 

The first page (that link above) contains only Laura's children, parents, and siblings. For her grandparents, aunts, and uncles, as well as Almanzo's relatives, click the link to "Fourth Generation" towards the bottom. Several of the people mentioned appear in the "Little House" books, including Grandma and Grandpa Ingalls, Aunt Docia, Aunt Ruby, and Aunt Eliza and Uncle Peter. I find it fascinating to look at the historical data that connects Laura's stories to the real world, much like the fascination of discovering how exactly a particular machine functions. 

It's simple and fun to draw and write your own informal family tree. Ask your parents and grandparents for their stories, and enjoy learning about your family history!
