An old-fashioned game: Jackstraws

You've probably played the classic game of Jackstraws (aka Pick Up Sticks):

The rules are simple: Scatter a bundle of "sticks." Take turns picking up one stick at a time without disturbing the rest of the pile.

What you may not know is that this game has been enjoyed by people around the world for centuries. Perhaps Laura's family played a similar game to while away a winter evening. You, too, can carry on the tradition. Just gather a few friends and enjoy!
