Perusing my bookshelf of "Little House" books, I saw a book called My Little House 1 2 3. Upon a little Internet digging, I rediscovered the "My First Little House Books" series, which had its heyday in the mid-1990s. This was
probably just in time for my parents to pick up used copies of these cute books.
My Little House 1 2 3, like the rest of the series, was inspired by Laura Ingalls Wilder's characters and stories from her original nine "Little House" books. However, "My First Little House Books" were not written by Wilder herself. All the books include Renee Graef's beautiful illustrations. The series uses stories from Laura's childhood as a jumping-off point to create picture books for readers too young to enjoy the chapter book-style "Little House" books.
