I don't usually talk about myself on this blog (I prefer to blog about Laura Ingalls Wilder, not my mundane life!) but today's post includes a brief digression from my usual historical subject matter.
These next couple posts are going to be short-ish, because right now I'm in the middle of final exams. I'm excited to be done with my freshman year of college but I'm really not looking forward to my chemistry final, which is less than twenty hours away as I'm writing this.
Take a study break to read a quick "Little House" story. In one of the final chapters of Little Town on the Prairie, "Unexpected in December", Laura experiences a sort of similar stressful school situation. I enjoy alliteration! Read the chapter to find out what happened.
Interesting side note: it seems from that chapter and the previous one (the school exhibition) that Laura had very high academic standards for herself and academic standards were higher in general. Times have changed, maybe?
If you're in school, how are your finals going? Are you ready? Stressed?
