Johnny Appleseed

Previously on Little House Club Online, I've posted several recipes for apples. (Apple turnovers, fried apples 'n' onions, applesauce, and dried-apple-and-raisin pie to be exact.)

Perhaps you've heard of Johnny Appleseed (1774-1845), the eccentric man who introduced apple trees to much of the United States.

I had no idea when I was planning this post, but apparently March 11 was Johnny Appleseed Day. I'm only six and a half weeks late to the celebration.
One of the "Little House"-related blogs I follow, Laura's Sweet Memories, has a fairly recent post about Johnny Appleseed, the legends that surround apples, and a delicious-looking apple recipe. Check it out.

What is your favorite thing to cook with apples?
