In her "Little House" books, Laura Ingalls Wilder makes many references to obscure family members, many of whom are simply lost to history. One of these is "Aunt Lotty", who appears in Little House in the Big Woods chapter 10 "Summertime". She's the young aunt who reassures Laura and Mary that she loves both golden and brown curls.
She was the daughter of Ma's mother (Laura's maternal grandmother) Charlotte Tucker Quiner Holbrook and Frederick Holbrook. She lived from January 20, 1854 to February 15, 1939. She married to become Charlotte Holbrook Moore.
