Part of the magic of letter writing is choosing great stationery and an inspiring writing instrument. The choice between a crisp cream-colored sheet of paper and a classy fountain pen, a goofy greeting card and a gel pen, or something in between, can make all the difference in conveying your sentiments. (The fictional Anne Shirley of "Anne of Green Gables" fame reportedly couldn't write a good love letter to her beloved Gilbert Blythe unless her old-fashioned pen had exactly the right kind of point - not too scratchy, not too dull.)
In light of letter writing, in today's post I'd like to share with you a picture of a "Little House"-inspired notecard that I've had for years. Very shortly it'll be used in a letter to a dear friend.
Isn't that a lovely image?
Rocky Ridge Farm is the place near Mansfield, Missouri where Laura and Almanzo settled. Here's a photo of Rocky Ridge Farm in real life.
The back of the card credits the artwork to a Missouri author and illustrator named Cheryl Harness, for the Laura Ingalls Wilder - Rose Wilder Lane Home and Museum.
Thanks for reading Little House Club Online, and please come back soon!
