Dried apple and raisin pie

Welcome back, loyal LHCO readers! Welcome, new readers! Today's post might give you an idea for a pie to add to your Christmas spread - or perhaps you will enjoy it sooner than that. After all, Christmas is the season for good things to eat. But first, the countdown to Christmas:

One of the delicious desserts mentioned in the "Little House" Christmas celebrations is dried apple pie with raisins. Below is a recipe from a cookbook published in 1831.
